I have worked as a Beauty Therapist for a number of years in Ireland and Australia, and I have always been interested in becoming a teacher in this industry. I made contact with a number of different colleges with regard to doing the teaching diploma but i found Gemma to be most helpful and enthusiastic. I decided that I wanted to do my lecturing diploma in Gemma Knightly’s Private School as Gemma invited me into shadow her a few days per week as she thought the beauty students in both theory and practical. I found this to be an experience that I would not have found anywhere else. Gemma’s ability to interact with the students while still keeping a very professional demeanour was inspiring. I found Gemma very approachable, understanding and well experienced.

Gemma worked with me regularly on a one to one basis advising me on my assignments and pointing out to me where I need to improve in my teaching methods. Seeing the dedication of Gemma and the other lecturers in the college is inspiring. I got a great insight into the life of a lecturer.

My self confidence has grown with each day that I am infront of the class with Gemma. I would higly recommend doing this course to anybody who feels they have the commitment and the ambition to become a Beauty Therapy Lecturer.

I have also perfected the art of making tea!!!!!
